Seriously Stardoll, this is a website for girls. Girls who love Fashion.
P/S: Extra credit for guessing which one I voted for.

matt dallas & chris olivero
Oh, be still my beating heart. I have a hard time choosing between these two so I picked both! I've been watching re-runs of Kyle XY lately and I realized that they have two of the hottest guy together in one show. Eye candy much or what? The little brother is cute too but kinda weird as he's so much younger than me.. anyways it's just wrong
haha! Call me greedy, but I would take either of these guys any day.

coming soon: philosophy di alberta ferreti
For the love of Lagerfeld, I am so pleased with the upcoming release from Philosophy. The collection that Stardoll will be bringing to us is from the Spring 2009 line featuring an exotic, ethnic look, from its folksy prints to the flowy silhouette of the maxi dresses. The khaki tones lends a utilitarian feel which sums the whole collection into boho utilitarian chic! Now I just wonder what the prices are going to be like. With Stardoll's latest price hike in everything, I'm not surprised if it exceeded the last collection.
*UPDATE: The word on the blogosphere is that there won't be a new release. WHAT? I hope this is not true. Fingers crossed everyone!
*UPDATE UPDATE: Hoorah it's out now! 3/5 rating, as the prices don't match the clothes quality.

62nd cannes film festival
CANNES, France, May 15 -- The 62nd Cannes Film Festival rolled its red carpet and a heavy crowd of A-list celebs from actors to directors to models and jury members graced the event with such glitz and glamor. The event, which will last for two weeks, has already seen the likes of
Mariah Carey, Eva Longoria, Aishwarya Rai and
Elizabeth Banks, just to name a few. There were definitely lots of couture pieces captured on the red carpet but these two ladies outshone their fellow comrades by a mile.
Elizabeth Banks looks absolutely stunning in a midnight-blue, sequined gown from Andrew Gn. The whole look practically scream old-Hollywood glamor. On the other hand,
Aishwarya Rai opted for an asymmetrical Elie Saab gown and looked like a Grecian goddess. Together, it's a picture perfect moment.

DIY boutique
Wow Stardoll! I don't know if I'm supposed to be impressed or not by this latest stint you brought to us. On the positive side, credit where credit is due, I actually enjoyed myself putting tons of different looks together just by using the ruffles alone. The prices are reasonable as well. And I just
LOVE the interior items! Spools of threads, fabric rolls.. and the sewing machine is too cute! And that's where my compliments shall end. On to the bad side. First off, WHAT IS UP WITH THE HORRENDOUS COLOR SCHEME? And the sad pathetic excuse disguised as fabric swatches? Also, don't you think it's kind of conniving of them to come up with this DIY boutique? That they're kinda
lazy to come up with new clothes every week? Again Stardoll, the next time you want us to make our own clothes, please provide
AMAZING basics. You could start with something really obvious like, say...
colors.

MET Costume Institute Gala 2009
Oh, Leighton. Love the red lips but did you actually pick this outfit yourself? If not, your stylist ought to be shot. I know this is a costume gala and all but for fashion's sake, it's not a halloween costume party we're talking here. Blair Waldorf would
so not approved!
Madge oh Madge. Words have failed to describe how I feel about this look. I don't even know where to start. You should have seen the look on my face when I first saw it is all I can say. On the plus side, she definitely grabbed the presses attention that night and no doubt will appear in various magazines column of "What was she thinking?".

the fierce faces of stardoll
These lovely ladies aren't what you might call "famous" Stardollians, granted, but they sure do look like they should be! Wonderful make-up techniques,
check. Beautiful hair,
check. Clever accessorizing,
check check! They sure beat their more "famous" counterparts hands down by a mile in the style department. Keep on doing what you're doing ladies, you're definitely winners in
my book.

Giambattista Valli F/W 2009
Hello my lovely readers! Wow it's been over four months since my last post. I've been busy with school, you should know how it is. Assignments, deadlines, etc. Well, to start things off, I've decided to go with a runway post, showcasing six looks for the upcoming season from my favorite designers. Hopefully you guys can see what my personal style is. Enjoy!
Ah, one of my favorite designers of all time. You can see why I love Valli's works. The silhouette of his dresses and coats is something to be desired for. It's not quite the traditional hourglass but you can still feel feminine yet fashion forward at the same time. The tailoring is always superb and don't get me started on the rich fabrics and textures. Despite this tumultuous economic roller-coaster, this season collection reeks of richness and opulence. I say no matter how bad the time is, there's no reason to downplay your style.
